The Zombie Christmas song
Fresh brains roasting on an Open fire,
Zombies chewing off your nose
It all began when they ate the whole choir.
They're even eating Eskimos.

Everybody knows a leg bone and someone's toes
Make a Zombie's season bright.
Tiny tots, with their eyes in a bowl,
Will find it hard to see tonight!

We know Zombie Santa's on his way;
He's eaten lots of boys and girls in his sleigh,
And every mother's child is going to spy
To see if Zombie reindeer really know how to fly.

And so I'm running to get out of here
Before the Zombies eat me too.
Although it's been said about the Undead,
If you don't run, they will feast on you.

Just click the "Community" link on the main page or here.

Thank you all for your support so far! It's still very much needed, and even as we outgrow LJ we want to thank the LiveJournal staff as well as all tulsazombies members/watchers for all their help so far. Come to the website and continue being part of our moviemaking process. :D

In case you're wondering...
Why there haven't been any updates, I should say it is because I had the entirely revamped Act II done, then my browser crashed and destroyed it all.

I'll try again in a moment. I just need to make my neck stop throbbing from the rage.

The website is live, though still fairly contentless. I figured since we were going to start pimping the casting call, we should have the site up.

Because I want to get this going
I'm going to rush it along. Four replies are enough for me to start planning.

Monday is a possibility? After 5pm.
Tuesday night is out because I have to work and it is Open Mic at the Gypsy.
Wednesday is possible? After 5pm.
Thursday after 5?
Friday after 5?
Saturday after 11?

I'm thinking Friday night, 7pm. If that doesn't mesh with most people's schedules, how about Saturday at 11-ish? This is next week, not this weekend.

Roll Call
Assuming we're all up for it, (jovo, I mean you too) I think we should have a zombie meeting. Preferably somewhere nuetral. Somewhere with no cats. I'm thinking Village Inn maybe? Next week sometime?

Tulsa Film Group
Those of you who are interested in local low/no budget Tulsa film projects other than our own, check out the Tulsa Film Group at Yahoo.

I'm going to try to attend one of their local meetings in the next couple of weeks - Thursday nights at 7 at the Circle Cinema. Next week is out for me since I'll be in Dallas that day, but if anyone wants to get together the Thursday after that (August 4) and go to one of these things, maybe learn a thing or two or pick the brains (zombie reference unintended) of someone who's been through the process of making a low-budget independent film, maybe we can carpool downtown and check it out together.

I wouldn't suggest subscribing to the group as it's fairly boring and gets some spam, but it sounds like their meetings are pretty interesting. Reply or give me a call if you'd be interested in going.

Zombie Links to get you through the day...
Pretty cool pictures, might give everyone some easy makeup ideas. ;)
the zombie call: a photoset
"You know those nerdy Cegep kids who run around on the mountain during Tam Tams fighting with duct tape weapons? We're trying to recruit an army of slow, dumb annoying zombies to go and attack them, just to see what happens."

Zombie4, the next iteration of a Java-based zombie proliferation game (you might have played Zombie2 or Zombie3). This one is a lot of fun.

Animate Dead?
Okay, I'm sure a lot of you read my last entry and thought, "Well, what do you expect us to do? We play no part yet." I'm sure it's easy enough to believe that, but you're wrong. Two posts below me is the outline for act one. I expect you to read it and comment on it.

This is, of course, assuming that we're all still into this. At the risk of sounding like a total bitch who's stealing the reigns, let us know if we are. Comment on this entry or something to show that you still want to do this. If no one else wants to, then I'll quit wasting my time and fretting about it.

Completely unrelated; "The fact that we live in a world where John Lennon was murdered and Milli Vanilli walks the streets is just... a little wrong." <-Best quote ever. Thank you, Bill Hicks.

also, our zombies.

now, a few of us have discussed this RL, but i have a bad memory, so there are gaps.

basically, our zombies are virus infected. but they do die from it, so they are zombies. basically there are five stages, first stage being almost normal, fifth being an entirely mindless, rotting corpse. fourth is probably where we want most of our zombies, cause rotting corpses, well, are rotting and thus hindered. but hey, open to suggestion. also, there are carriers, live human who carry and can transmit the virus, with a possibilty that it will mutate in the transmitee to a deadly, zombie-making mutation of it. this device (live carriers) allows for wide and unapperently linked distribution of the same virus. presuming that somewhere in the past there was an 'original' outbreak of zombies, it had to travel somehow, and most people aren't agreeable to rotting corpses flying on planes - so there are carriers. also, we could have one of the characters be a carrier, leading to confusing twists later if we so choose. or seomthing else. it opens options. and carriers of a virus? i mean you don't even know if you ahve it and dont' know. scary, eh? what am i missing? fill in the gaps, i forget all the rest.
